ABOUT THE OWNER.....
Carolyn Matthews - Field Scientist, Founder
After receiving her Bachelor of Environmental Science degree Carolyn began her environmental career as
a seasonal employee with the USFS. After that she moved indoors as a environmental and bacteriological
lab analyst. Her years of lab experience are a great asset to our QA/QC program; it has given her a keen
sense of how easily and frequently cross contamination can occur and sample integrity can be
compromised in the field. She conducts on going training and field auditing of staff to ensure they have the
tools and knowledge for maintaining sample and equipment integrity, in order to obtain the most accurate
data.
Carolyn returned outdoors to gain more than 15 years of experience conducting field work for industry and
environmental consultants & laboratories. She has worked on over 100 different contaminated sites across
several states. She has performed sampling for the monitoring of at least 50 NPDES permits. Carolyn
also regularly attends remediation conferences and workshops.
